"Checkout kept failing on me"
I tried to check out and my payment failed twice for no clear reason. It was frustrating because nothing told me what was wrong or how to fix it. I just wanted to place my order, not keep guessing what happened

i mean, my Chipolo stopped working while it was still under warranty, so I figured getting it sorted would be straightforward. Instead, it turned into a hassle. They asked me for a bunch of info, and after all that, they said it wasn’t covered. it just made the warranty feel pointless. I wouldn’t buy one again

"Not Quite What I Expected"
For how I planned to use it, the range just felt weak. I was hoping it would hold up better from a bit farther away, but it seemed to drop off sooner than I expected. The accuracy also wasn’t great in my experience, so I didn’t feel like I could really rely on it.

I still haven’t received my order, and I’m a bit confused. The email says one thing, but the tracking/status seems to say something else, so I’m not really sure what’s going on or when it’s actually supposed to arrive.

"I bought this thinking, okay cool, pay once..."
I bought this thinking, okay cool, pay once and use the tracker. Then almost right away I realized some of the actually useful features were locked behind a subscription, and my first reaction was, “Seriously?” That was not clear enough when I bought it.

I’m already tired of everything needing a monthly fee, so being pushed in the app to sign up just annoyed me more. It felt like I’d bought this tiny tag for peace of mind, then got hit with another bill to really use it.

Maybe it’s fine if you don’t mind paying extra every month, but I was instantly over it. I returned it quickly and I wouldn’t buy it again

"Why does this feel so cheap??"
I don’t get it?? The plastic feels super flimsy, and mine started getting scuffed up way faster than I expected. The button also feels kind of loose, which makes the whole thing seem poorly made. For the price, I really thought the build quality would be a lot better.

"Made Me Realize How Much I Rely on Battery Life"
I really wanted to like this, but the battery life ended up being disappointing. It died way sooner than I expected, and I found myself constantly checking on it instead of just using it normally. It kind of made me realize that a product can have decent features, but if the battery can’t keep up, it takes away from the whole experience...

"Refund took way too long"
I tried to return my order and it was a frustrating experience. The website made it sound like the return process would be simple, but once I actually started it, the instructions felt unclear and kind of different from what was listed online. Emails took days to get a reply, and I had to keep following up just to find out what was happening with my refund. The product itself wasn’t the issue, but the whole return process was annoying enough that I’d think twice before ordering again

"Pairing Took a Few Tries"
Just a heads up, this didn’t pair right away for me. I had to try a few times before it finally connected, but once it did, the setup worked fine. Not the worst experience, but be prepared to be a little patient.

"Find My setup feels a bit unreliable"
I got it working with Find My, but only some of the time. The connection drops more than I’d expect, and the location updates can be slow. For the price, I kind of assumed this would’ve been tested a little more thoroughly before being sold.

"I bought a Chipolo for my keys..."
I bought a Chipolo for my keys because I was excited to stop panicking every morning trying to find them. At first I thought, okay, this is going to be super handy. But then it started disconnecting randomly, and the excitement quickly turned into frustration. Sometimes it won’t ring at all, and other times the app says my keys are nearby when they’re definitely not, which is kind of funny for two seconds and then immediately annoying. The battery seems fine, so I can’t really figure out what the issue is. I really wanted to trust it, but after this many disconnects, I just don’t feel like I can rely on it.

"Stopped working after a little rain"
I had my Chipolo on my keys like normal, and it got a bit wet while I was out in the rain. After that, it just stopped working completely. I thought it would be able to handle everyday stuff like that, so it was frustrating. It kind of left me in the dark when I actually needed it, which defeats the whole purpose. I wouldn’t buy it again.

"Phone finder just barely works"
I tried using it to find my phone a couple of times, and the Chipolo either rang way too late or just didn’t ring at all. it feels useless so far.

"I expected the Chipolo app to be quick…"
I expected the chipolo app to be quick and straightforward, especially since I only wanted to find my tag fast. Instead, the pairing screen kept throwing me off, and the settings felt buried in places I wouldn’t think to look. It does the job eventually, but it takes way more taps than I expected for something that should feel simple

I gave Chipolo a try because I’m constantly misplacing my keys, usually somewhere dumb like under a jacket on the kitchen chair. It seemed like it might be useful, and maybe it is for actually finding things, but I didn’t feel great about the privacy side of it. The app asks for more than I expected, and the wording around what data is collected or shared felt a bit too vague for my comfort. I know a lot of apps are like that now, but with a tracker especially, I want to feel really clear about what’s going on. I ended up deleting it after using it for a short time.

I tried adding this to my keyring, but the shape just feels awkward and bulkier than I expected. It doesn’t really sit flat in my pocket or on a table, which got annoying quickly. Maybe it’s just this style, but I feel like bulky key accessories in general end up being more hassle than they’re worth

"Not enough simple ways to attach it"
I bought this thinking it would be easy to use with my keys and bag, and I kind of assumed it would work with the usual stuff most people carry. But once I actually tried setting it up, the attachment options felt limited.

If whatever you're attaching it to doesn't already have a ring, loop, or pocket, it gets annoying fast. I figured I could make it work without buying extra holders or rigging up some odd little loop, but that really didn't seem to be the case. The card option just sits loose, and the other attachment looks bulky when it's hanging there.

I'm sure it probably works fine for people whose setup already matches what this is designed for, but for me it felt badly thought out. I returned it and wouldn't buy it again.
